We offer you this walk in “Rupestre Patagonia” this beautiful place is located in Estancia Hernesto Helmer 27 kilometers from Puerto Natales next to the Milodon Cave. Where you can see rock paintings, caves, mountains, fjords, condors, lakes, flora and fauna of the place. Half-day walk of medium difficulty, 7 kilometers and 4 approximate hours

Through hiking trails we value the cultural and natural heritage of the gaucho and pioneer culture of Chilean Patagonia and the landscapes of the southernmost lenga forests of Chile. Likewise, we seek to bring people closer to the native flora and fauna and forests through the recognition of species, as well as also sites of archaeological interest of the first inhabitants of the territory. In this way we contribute to its care and conservation for future generations.

Itinerary
Departure 8:30 am in the morning or 14:30 pm in the afternoon from Puerto Natales in our Van that will pick you up at your hotel or we will meet at Hostal Nikos II Adventure, after a 30-minute trip by van we will arrive at the Ernesto Helmer Estancia and Rupestre Patagonia Reception. where the local guide will be waiting for us.

After the welcome and talk of recommendations it will be facilitated trekking poles to people that they need it the tour of the trail begins along the Rupestre Patagonia trail.

We will make an ascent up the Benitez hill to the first viewpoint where you can see beautiful landscapes of mountains and fjords of Patagonia. We continue the hike by the trail which is surrounded by a Lenga forest to reach the viewpoint of Laguna Sofía. Here it is possible to appreciate the nests and the spectacular flight of the Condor, as well as various species of other birds.
We continue along the trail passing near a rock wall to see the first ones painted rocks. these were the settlements of the first people who inhabited in the Magellan region. We can also visit two caves, window cave and hidden cave, where it is possible to appreciate formations of stalactites and stalagmites, as well as archaeological sites where remains of the megafauna that inhabited this place have been found. Then the tour takes us to the “Aleros Dos Herraduras” sector located in a lenga forest. Throughout the circuit we will be able to observe various species of orchids, birds and also hear from our guide the story of how the first settlers arrived at this Estancia in Chilean Patagonia.
